These are the things I leave the house with each morning:
- Mason in his car seat, remembering to throw a pacifier, bib, burp cloth and receiving blanket in there with him.
- Purse, making sure my cell phone, car keys, and work keys are in there.
- Work bag, including my lunch, bills that need to be paid, mail that has to go out, and my To-Do list(s).
- Diaper bag, ensuring it is complete with clean diapers, a plastic bag for the dirty ones, milk (premeasured per feeding), two extra sets of clothing, an extra bib, burp cloth and pacifier, book, DVD, notebook, extra receiving blanket, emergency formula (premeasured in a bottle), sunblock, lotion, baby wipes and hand sanitizer.
- Breast pump. (Thank you for reminding me Suzy!) Accompanied by all the pieces (and back ups, just in case) and a few storage containers.
- Green tea. A big giant travel cup full of it.
Whew.
How in the WORLD do people do this with more than one child?
you basically just stop caring, put one spare diaper in your purse (maybe a few wipes), force the children to hold their own baggies of sliced apples, and drag them all along for the ride. hoping, of course, that maybe you can find enough spare change in the bottom of your purse for when the gas light illuminates.
ReplyDeletehe is getting to be soo big! one of these days i'm just gonna have to take him!
ReplyDeleteI don't think one actually remembers how they did it once they get past this stage.
ReplyDeleteI don't see the pump on your list or on your shoulder in the picture, did you forget something?
Suzy, you are totally right! I can't believe I forgot that. You can't actually tell, but the pump is what's on my left shoulder and the diaper bag is behind me, but you can see the strap going across my chest.
