Home Sweet Home

4000 miles + 60 hours in the car + taking 9 days to travel across 7 states and back = happy to be home!

We left at 8PM on Friday night and arrived at 1:30AM (3:30AM local time) on Sunday morning.

More to come this week on our vacation to Iowa. Did I mention we are happy to be home???

  3. Yes... I had good advice from a friend to take lots of cereal, which takes a 9 month old forever to pick up and get into his mouth. :) We found that traveling at night was easier than during the day because even though Mason didn't sleep well it was easier for him to sleep than during the day because of the darkness. Lets see, of course we made lots of stops and just let the kiddo jump around in the car, so he didn't get any time to crawl around but still got to let out some energy. We brought a laptop to play his My Baby Can Talk DVD but only resorted to it during the last hour of the trip. We also brought a basket of toys he could reach from his car seat so he was able to entertain himself a lot of the time. It seemed like as long as someone was in the back seat interacting with him he was good! :)
