Weekend Fun: Bodega Bay

Ahhh... returning to work on Monday is so much easier after having two full days off! We spent a gorgeous few days in Bodega Bay this weekend-- Mason's first time seeing the ocean.
The amazing house we got to stay in was on a golf course and was a 5 minute walk to the beach. Does it get any better??? Tage and my grandpa Carroll don't think so.Mason spent lots of time on the carpet showing the grandpas and grandmas how he can now get up on his knees and scoot backwards. Once in a while he'll get both lets going and hop forward. Guess what we'll be doing next weekend? Getting down on our hands and knees and baby-proofing the house.
Mase worked up quite an appetite and wanted some of Grandpa Flint's cantaloupe. Yum! Ready for our walk down to the waves.
Nothing like feet in the sand. The water was cold!
Who needs the gym when you've got a 20 pound baby to lug around?
This past weekend happened to be the Bodega Seafood, Art and Wine Festival and if you know our family, you know we don't pass up fresh seafood or good wine. The temperature difference between the breezy bay and the actual town of Bodega was extreme. We were sweaty, but having a good time wine tasting none-the-less. Mason got to meet our friends Jena and Danny.
Back to the ocean on Sunday morning to play in the sand.
Grandpa Flint and Nanna brought lots of fruit and vegetables from their gardens. Mason could not eat this fig fast enough.

  3. Yes, you sure did Mel! We used to be faithful Yahtzee players but since learning Mexican Train, my family hasn't looked back!
